SUMMER ACADEMY II

The Personal Financial Literacy Summer Academy II program is ideal for educators who have been teaching personal financial literacy for 3 or more years and/or have attended the PFL Summer Academy I or the Personal Finance Institute. This program is considered to be a part of a leadership track of PFL teachers of Oklahoma and a component of becoming an OCEE Master Teacher of Personal Finance. Summer Academy II is a program of the Oklahoma State Department of Education in partnership with the Oklahoma Council on Economic Education. The Academy will be online with synchronous and asynchronous components.
In this academy, we will explore and discuss how to critically analyze presentations and instructional materials to the Oklahoma PFL Standards. Discussion, review, and reflection on experiential and interactive learning strategies with industry leaders at both the state and national level. Participants will finish out the academy having developed or updated a financial literacy lesson or activity to meet state standards.

WHAT TO EXPECT
This program is designed to develop education leaders in personal financial literacy. Participants will develop next level awareness and working knowledge of strategies and content used in teaching personal finance to middle and high school students.
